Important instructions for the 46th BCS written exam

The written examination of the 46th BCS compulsory subjects will begin on July 24. It will continue till August 3. The written examination of the post-related subjects will be held from August 10 to August 21. The Public Service Commission (PSC) has given four important instructions for the candidates.

Important instructions for the 46th BCS written exam

The PSC notification states that books, watches, mobile phones, ornaments and any kind of devices are prohibited from entering the examination center during the written examination. If these prohibited items are found in the examination hall, the candidature of the concerned candidate will be cancelled. Apart from this, he will be declared ineligible for all PSC recruitment examinations in the future. It is completely prohibited to bring books, watches, mobile phones, calculators, all kinds of electronic devices, any device like bank/credit cards, jewellery, bracelets and bags to the examination hall. No candidate will be able to enter the examination hall with prohibited items.

2. Candidates will have to enter the examination hall with their admit card and metal detector in the presence of the Executive Magistrate and the police at the gate of the examination center, after searching for prohibited items including mobile phones, watches, electronic devices.

3. An SMS will be sent to all candidates’ mobile phones to not bring the prohibited items mentioned on the day of the examination. The instructions in the SMS must be followed.

4. Candidates will not be able to cover their ears during the examination, they must keep their ears open. If any type of hearing aid is required, prior approval from the commission along with a specialist doctor’s consultation letter must be obtained.
